Default Minimum hours

Is there any regulation for minimum hours to be paid for a job if called for a short shift?

Well, there should be. It depends of the province. Every province has different regulations - 3 or four-hour’s minimum. Is your position part time? If it is, the minimum hours could vary.

Completely depends on the job too and the contract.
You should have signed some sort of contract outlining this. Did you?
