Getting a company to sign you up as an apprentice is difficult. Any experience you can offer that remotely seems like electrical work will definitely help. Also any education in the field will help also. Try taking a night or weekend course on electrical theory at your local college. It may be the one thing that stands out on your resume over the other 50 people with no electrical experience applying for an apprenticeship.
