I was contacted by GuruLink 2 years ago (they are relatively new agency in business for 3-4 years) for an IT position, but they were quite slow and meanwhile I managed to get another contract. I've never heard anything bad about them though. You can try Procom, they have a lot of positions with banks and big businesses, but I'm not sure if they work with foreign hires.

Thanks for the info.

I was in contact with procom, but they told me flat out that they can't handle me without a residency permit and presence in Canada.

I found this rather odd, because Procom uses LInkedin.com heavily - a Site that is generally very useful for international job searches.

Any other suggestions would be welcome: my background is 15 years in the IT industry (mostly in Telecom) including several senior R&D positions (dept. head, VP).

Regards,

Almo
