Default Computing engineer/technician

Good morning,

My name is Matthew Kirkland I'm an English national who will be immigrating to Toronto, Canada in June 2010 on a marriage Visa.

I've an incredibly strong interest in all aspects of computing from Software development, web development, removal of viruses from computers manually (registry editing), computer construction and internet marketing and finally I'm a touch typist.

I've had a computer since 2000 where I started with a 56k internet connection programming a language derived from a chat client mIRC. After which I moved to HTML and then PHP, MySQL and some Java Script, from there I worked a little with C++. I’m fully competent in the construction and trouble shooting in the building and repairing of machines with some retail experience and extensive personal experience. I’m highly knowledgeable when it comes to software trouble shooting and virus removal through using several operating systems and having to clean several machines manually through registry editing. I’m currently looking to expand my knowledge into TCP/IP networking to improve my overall experience base.

At this point in time I am searching for potential future job prospects and what in particular would be required of me. If there is some knowledge I do not currently have or an area I would need to improve on I'd use the next year to work towards it to be suitable for the role when I moved to Toronto.

Kind regards,
Matthew.
