You can write in your resume that you were self employed from 2002 - 2006 working for different companies and may mention your longest contracts. About the law clerk/technician position you can say that you were actually doing both. It's even more beneficial I think...

You should add those skills and experience to your resume. During interview you can explain that you were doing both the jobs but under one job title. Now a days IT skills are very important. So make sure you add them properly to look more professional.
