Default Experienced Automotive Service Advisor Needed

This Markham Chevrolet dealership is embarking on an exciting future. They are currently undergoing an expansion to their location. They are also looking for an experienced Service Advisor to add to the team.

The ideal candidate will possess the abilities to:

- Achieve a high CSI score
- Welcome customers in a friendly and timely manner and obtain information about their vehicle servicing needs.
- Explain the nature of the work to be performed and all estimated costs to the customer.
- Advise customers on how to look after their vehicles and stresses the importance of maintenance, based on the manufacturer’s technical features.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Inform customers of all promotions and services provided by the dealership.
- Accurately record the vehicle problem experienced by the customer, on the repair order.
- Test drive the vehicle with the customer, as necessary, in order to confirm the nature of the problem or refer the customer to a technician.
- Take into account previous checkups, inspects the vehicle and recommends any additional repairs required.
- Prepare a detailed and accurate estimate of the cost of labour and parts.
- Determine the time frame for completion of the work; verifies this with the shop dispatcher, if necessary.
- Has the customer sign the work order and provides him/her with a copy.
- Check how the work is progressing throughout the day.
- Contact customers if there is any change in the estimate or the time frame for completion of the work.
- Verify warranty coverage on the vehicle to be repaired before work is begun.
- Examine the repair orders, to ensure that the work has been finished and that they indicate any additional repairs and authorizations.
- Close work orders, in keeping with established procedures.
- Ensure that vehicles are parked in the correct spaces. Ensure that they are locked, and that all the keys are labeled and properly organized.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Must be able to work rotational Saturdays.

Reynolds and Reynolds experience is an asset. A competitive remuneration package includes salary and bonus.
