Default Is it possible somehow to immigrate to Canada and find a job there?

I would really appreciate if you could help me by information.
At the moment I'm in unenviable situation...

I'm Latvian (EU citizen).

I have a bachelor degree in business administration. I had been working in the banks for almost 9 years and then I went for maternity leave. When my little girl was 1 year old (August, 2009) I wanted to continue my job, but unfortunately I was fired like many other people, because of economical situation in Latvia.
Anyway i got compensation and afterwards unemployment benefits. So I could survive for a while.
But all this time I was searching for a job without any positive result. So I'm desperate because I'm alone with my daughter and without the money-those benefits are not there anymore.

I'm ready to work, but in Latvia it's impossible to find a job.

Is it possible somehow to immigrate to Canada and find a job there without waiting long time (I have heard immigration process takes time).

I'm thankful for any information.

Hi there, the immigration process is long and costly. It takes at least 2 years to get an interview with immigration officer and costs a lot of money. You can chack the CIC web site

Even if you come to Canada, the economic situation here is not better. For non Canadian with no Canadian experience it is very difficult to find a job and you have to support yourself while you are looking for job and have someone take care for your little one...

Why don't you try to find a job in Europe instead?
