Has anyone tried one of those online degree programs from places like University of Phoenix?

I cant imagine studying for a degree online, is this really possible?

It is very possible. Correspondence schooling has become widely renouned. Sometimes it's even looked upon as better than real world classes, because it shows more dedication to the work and more self interest in it.

I'm agreed with Mike - online university courses in many respects can look better than their real world counterparts; showing initiative with self study. It is, however, hard to be disciplined enough to stick to the often grueling rota.

I thought most online programs allow you to work at your own pace?
I know some of them do anyway, which is why many people are choosing this option.

I'd do an online degree if I had complete control over how many hours per week I could spend on it.
