Default typos in job ads

There a lot of typos in so many job ads so it raises a question.
Do employers WANT candidates to point out mistakes in ads they apply to?
Is that a possible filtering criteria?

The other possibility is that people don't know about web browser spell checking plugins.
Mozilla Firefox has built-in spell checking that is on by default.
I don't know what the IE default is but I know spell checking is available.

It's not only here.
I'm applying for a job at a University and there is a typo in that job ad.

Red face

You are absolutely right although I don't think the typos were intentional....
