Default Girlfriend to Canada

Hi,

I’m from Denmark and I came to Toronto on a 3 year contract. My girlfriend wants to move over. I’ve heard that Canada have special visas for engaged people. Can she get this type of visa or she has to come as a visitor. Do I need to sponsor her? And will she have a work permit?

I'll appreciate your help.

My advice to you will be to include your girlfriend in the application for PR as a common law partner. She can come with a visitor visa but her status will change once she applied for PR. Of course check that with the CIC office first.
