Default Getting INTO the AUTO industry?

I First off wanted to get into sales, and selling cars. Then I came to terms with the reality of that job and realised I would not feel comfortable with no garauntee on getting consistant pay. So I elaborated a little more and discoverd the service advisor position and thought that job would fit me perfectly.

I know a great deal about cars mechanically, electronically and aerodynamically. Although I realize that is sometimes not enough to get hired for the position unless there is some experience on your resume to back it up, which unfortunately I do not have. My question is, what path should i be taking at the moment if I would like to secure this position? Is there a specific course/training that I could attend?

Thanks.
