Default Need your help answering a questionnaire!

Hi guys,

I'm a student in my last year at high school studying information technology, and for my coursework, I am writing a paper on employee surveillance and its effects on both the company and its workers.

As part of my research, I've created a questionnaire targeted at employees working in large companies. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone would care to spare a few minutes and help answer it. If anyone is interested in helping me out, please PM me.

Thanks!

Hi there,
We'll be happy to help. Why don't you publish your questionnaire here on jobforum and our users will be happy to answer you.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I've been quite busy for the past couple of days. I've attached the questionnaire below:

----
An increasing amount of companies are using a range of surveillance methods to monitor their employees. These methods include computer surveillance, video surveillance and telephone monitoring.

Does your company conduct regular computer surveillance in the workplace?

When was this policy implemented? Were you made aware of the rules enforced?

Is there a policy/contract made available for all workers to see?

A variety of software and hardware methods are used to monitor computer activities. These may include keylogging, intercepting outgoing emails or monitoring specific websites visited.

What methods are used to track computer activities? Are you aware of what exactly is being monitored?

Many companies have enforced surveillance to improve productivity levels in the workplace. The implementation of these policies have been met with mixed results, both for workers and the company.

How has workplace surveillance affected your general productivity level?

Have their been any health-related problems among other employees?
Have there been any incidents of workers being fired due to improper use of computers?

What is the general attitude of employees towards workplace surveillance? Has the implementation of this policy been met with a positive attitude?

What are your personal opinions on workplace surveillance?
----

Thanks for answering the questionnaire! I really appreciate your help.

Great questionnaire there!
I think the most important one is "Is there a policy/contract made available for all workers to see?"

I think all the employees must know that there is a surveillance of any sort at the workplace.

Hi,
