Smile Job Searching

If you are looking for a job then you have a lot of resources at your disposal. Recession or not, there is a lot of proactive job searching that you can engage in in order to land your job.

Including, but not limited to:

The obvious activities that I'm sure you are already doing, such as newspapers, trade journals, bulletin boards, forums (like this), offline recruitment agencies, online agencies, specialist 'headhunters'.

You should also do some networking, which I warn you, in itself can be a full time job! Networking can be a very comprehensive / wide area of activity, which can work wonders. Just be subtle.

Plenty of books on the subject if you are not sure how to go about this.

Note Of Caution
Be wary about 'posting' your resume to online boards. There are security issues here associated to identity theft. Best thing is to remove personal details so that you can't be identified, but so that you can still be contacted.

So don't give full address. Give town / state / Zipcode. No house number. Allow contact via email and mobile.
Don't include date of birth (which should not be on your resume anyway). Never ever give out your social security number.

If you need any help on this then let me know and I'll send you some pointers.
