First, the market is really tough right now. Second, most headhunters have very few jobs to offer.

Every once and awhile, scroll down and read the fine print of an ad from a head hunter. It will sometimes actually say that the position doesn't even exist. They only post it for the sake of collecting resumes as they "anticipate" that there will be a need for this position. It's a bunch of crap to be honest. The more resumes they collect, the more favorable they are for getting new clients (employers). This is typical for head hunters to do when no jobs exist instead of just doing nothing.

Another thing, the average number of applicants per job is 70 in more places. That's very HIGH. It's actually record high.

Competition is fierce. You to be 100% flexible and 100% willing to do anything.
