I have no experience

Hi, I am a recent graduate and have never ever worked before. (even part time) I graduated with an honours bachelor of arts and specialized mainly in East Asian Studies. I was thinking of working in an office in downtown Toronto. Do you people think it is impossible? I tried to find some entry level jobs and internships but opportunities are just not out there. Some required a ton of experience even for an entry level job. The only job i have had was wrapping presents during Christmas. Thanks everyone.

I am willing to take courses in order to enter the business field. I was wondering if anyone know any hidden internships or entry level jobs which they can tell me. If it is really impossible then, I am willing to work any kind of job to gain experience but with no night shifts and has to be in downtown Toronto. Please can anyone help me?

This is why I strongly suggest to people that they do some volunteer work. It gives you experience, and it tells potential employers that you are willing to work.

Your experience in college alone can get you a job

Is there a specific position that you are qualified for? What would your job title be? It might be best to seek out other professionals in this same field, they are usually associated with groups or committees with similar interests and skill sets. You should also consider short-term projects or freelance work to help you gain experience.

No, It's not impossible. You can apply for job posts that are meant for freshers with no or little work experience. Once you will work then only you can have experience. Write a good resume that looks more professional. Write your college achievements and show off your academic career. Best of luck.

I have experience and have had no luck. I've applied to approx. 1000 jobs since April and got 4 calls back.

When it comes to bilingual jobs, they were willing to hire me right away but I was unable to since I was not done school. They suggested I drop out. And others were call centres in other cities but when I worked out the cost after they don't me the salary, I wouldn't make enough to live nevermind commute. It was only enough for rent and food and pay my loan.
